#WeeklyNRG – We Are Back!

After a little rest and time to reset, #WeeklyNRG is back! I’ve missed sharing what’s been happening behind the scenes. The bursts of activity, the big reflections, the lessons that keep me (mostly) on track, and the occasional “what was I thinking?” moments. So, let’s dive back in!

The Weekly Debrief

It’s been a busy one! The Gîtes are finally open for the season, and we’ve already welcomed our first guests. Two glowing 5-star reviews later, we’ve kept our Airbnb Superhost badge shining for another round. (Cue small celebratory dance, preferably with a croissant in hand.)

Somewhere in the midst of laundry and linen, I rediscovered how much I’ve missed cross-stitching, yes, really! I bought a new kit, and it’s been lovely to switch off and create something tangible again. There’s something wonderfully meditative about stitching tiny X’s while the world spins busily around you.

Hubby was away for four days, and I had a sudden revelation: I genuinely enjoy my own company. No offence to him, of course! I’m just surprisingly good at talking to myself and not arguing back. I’ve also been carving out time for evening walks, a perfect way to unwind and reset after busy days.

The Week Ahead

This coming week is packed with interviews with some incredible start-up founders. I always find their energy contagious, the passion, the creativity, and that beautiful “eyes-wide-open” belief that anything’s possible.

On Wednesday, I’ll be giving a presentation on how to build traction and momentum in business. The research for it has been fascinating, and if you’d like a copy of the slides or a walk-through, let me know. I’d be delighted to share.

Lessons Learnt

This week’s lesson? Balance is less about doing it all and more about finding joy in the small, quiet moments, whether it’s a peaceful walk at sunset, an evening with a needle and thread, or realising that solitude can be surprisingly sweet.

Here’s to a productive week ahead, filled with big ideas and maybe a bit of stitching on the side. Just the right dose of #NRG.
