Spring - the inspiring season for entrepreneurs and business owners

“Oh, what a beautiful morning

Oh, what a beautiful day

I got a wonderful feeling,

Everything’s going my way.”

As S Brown said… "The first blooms of spring always make my heart sing."

It might not have officially started (In the UK it’s Saturday, 20 March this year) but in Cardiff this past weekend felt like Spring had sprung. The weather turned warmer (I was outside in shorts and a t-shirt for most of Saturday), trees started to grow their leaves, the daffs were coming into bloom in the back garden and the washing smelt so fresh after being dried outside for the first time this year.

Spring to me is all about the ideas of rebirth, rejuvenation, renewal, resurrection and regrowth. I think you would agree we all need that positive feeling more than ever this year. There is so much to look forward too.

Heralding longer and brighter days, I always feel I achieve more in Spring. I have more #NRG (if you can believe that) and I am full of new concepts. I love this season most of all because its full of hope, full of possibility and potential.

Summer is all about lazy reading by the water. Autumn has that back to school feeling for me. Winter is wonderful for hiding away all wrapped up and toasty by a roaring fire with a good book. But Spring! Ah, in Spring I’m bouncing around doing stuff. It’s all about activity. New experiences, new adventures. Just new.

So, what are you going to do as spring approaches? Here are a few things to consider

  • ReNRGise yourself and your team. This US based article talks about how you can liven up your company culture during the spring months.

  • You could plant some seeds. This article describes how you can sow the seeds of a successful business, farmer style. Nurturing your customers from a state of not knowing you to being loyal advocates. But what about planting seeds of your own – start learning something new.

  • Tend the ground and grow your network. Spring (with warmer weather) could be the ideal time to catch up with your business contacts. Invite them out for a Covid safe walk.

  • Spring clean. Whether it’s the office, your filing system, the car etc. Now is the time to give everything in your business a spruce up. Get rid of anything that is old. Fix anything that is broken. Open the windows and doors to let the fresh air in. Give the office a change around. Get rid of the clutter.

  • Bring the outdoors in. Redecorate your office/home office by bringing in some plants, flowers etc. Give it fresh lease of live. Surround yourself with the environment that focuses your mind, helps you achieve your goals. You should love being in the office as much as being out of it.

  • Step up your exercise routine or start a new hobby outdoors. Again, I feel there is nothing better than being outdoors. Breathe in the fresh air. Time away from the office helps with your health and wellbeing. Most of us have not had a proper break for so long. Go on you deserve it.

Whatever you decide to do – let me know. Send me some photo’s etc. Here at #TeamMRG we’ve had new starters and we’ve got new products in development. Watch this space for more details after Easter.

Until then enjoy the new!

Spring as well as summer is one of the best times of year to travel. This spring my girlfriend and I had grand plans, but they were all ruined because I lost my job. But I was not discouraged and quickly started looking for a new one. I was lucky to find professional cv writers service, thanks to them I wrote my best cv and quickly found a job
